I retired from the US Army on August 1st, 2024 with over 20 years of service. During that time, I’ve had many opportunities to grow, learn, and influence others. I’m excited to be back home in Goldsboro, North Carolina, where I’ll spend time with family and embark on a new adventure in JROTC at Goldsboro High School. My goals for this upcoming school year are to help motivate each Cadet to be better citizens and learn from 1SG Gray who has served this community well for many years. I also want to thank the leadership at this school and the county who have given me this opportunity to continue serving.

After 20 years of active military service and 14 years as a JROTC Instructor, I am excited to begin my ninth year at Goldsboro High School. I entered the U.S. Army as a Psychological Operations (PSYOP) Specialist, a role that allowed me to travel extensively and serve in countries including Cambodia, the Philippines, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and many others. These global experiences, along with the opportunity to engage with diverse cultures, sparked a deep interest in individual and group behavior; an interest that continues to shape my approach to leadership, teaching, and mentorship both inside and outside the classroom.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and dual Master’s degrees in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development. I am also a Federally trained mediator and facilitator. Among my most meaningful professional accomplishments are being designated a Highly Effective Teacher, earning recognition as a National Scholastic Scholar, and being named Teacher of the Year at Goldsboro High School. I have also had the honor of coaching Drill and Raider Teams, leading them to successful state-level competition.

Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, staying physically active, and camping. Above all, I am passionate about helping others recognize their potential and achieve their goals.
